Larry Hochman has received 3 Tony nominations for Best Orchestrations: Spamalot (2005, also Drama Desk Nomination), Fiddler on the Roof (2004) and A Class Act (2001). He is the composer for Nick Jr.'s new hit animated series The Wonder Pets. He composed music for Disney's Little Mermaid II, Spielberg's Amazing Stories, the TV documentaries Views of a Vanishing Frontier and Yad Vashem, as well as the films Not for Publication, The Watchman, and Alaska: Spirit of the Wild (Omnimax film). He has orchestrated a dozen other films including Lady and the Tramp II and Dead of Winter. Over 25 Broadway credits include Pippin, Pacific Overtures, The Magic Show, A Class Act, Jane Eyre, The Gershwins' Fascinating Rhythm, and Late Nite Comic. He has contributed orchestrations to King David (Alan Menken & Tim Rice), Music Man, Cinderella (Disney), Annie (Disney), Geppetto (Disney), Once Upon a Mattress (Disney), A Christmas Carol (Hallmark Films, Alan Menken), Chita Rivera: The Dancer's Life (Bway) and The Music Man (Disney, Matthew Broderick). Arrangements for recordings include Barry Manilow, Mandy Patinkin, Audra McDonald, Dawn Upshaw, Brian Stokes Mitchell, The Maury Yeston Songbook, and acclaimed pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet's Reflections on Duke Ellington and many others. Orchestrations for 18 regional shows include Senor Discretion (Frank Loesser World Premiere). He has arranged for concerts with Michael Feinstein, Betty Buckley, San Francisco Symhony, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Boston Pops, Susan Lucci, Andre de Sheild, Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, and The Three Broadway Tenors. Original music for orchestra on CD includes American Impressions, The Hollywood Project, and Millenium Mornings. His symphonic poem, In Memoriam, which premiered in Berlin, had its US premiere with the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra.

His song, "Rising Like the Sun" was performed at the Opening Ceremony for America's Millenium in Washington DC. Larry Hochman is the recipient of the New Jersey Theater Alliance 1998 Applause Award for over 20 years of shows with Pushcart Players. Larry's new favorite things are surfing, performing in "Ticket 2 Ride" (his Beatles tribute band) and composing for Jill's "Lizzie."
